Hi all!

Well I've gone and done it now, put a deposit down on an '07 Coupe in Carbon Black. All subject to a test drive in the next couple of weeks, but hopefully everything will go well. :driving:

I've been lurking on here for a bit now, and I'd like to say a general 'thanks!' to everyone here. I've picked up some very valuable advice, which has been really useful when looking at potential cars. Particularly important was the corrosion issue on the 108 wheels - I gave the wheels on the coupe a check and the insides of both back rims were bubbling, so the dealers have agreed to send all 4 wheels (the front 2 were kerbed) away for a refurbish. The only other issue is scratches to the driver's seat bolster, which they are having a look at as well.

Anyway, I'll post up some pics when I get a chance, but for now I'll say hello! :D

As one new member to another welcome! I got lots of useful information from here already and as a result the dealer's sorting out some minor niggles under warranty and the stubby ariel is due anytime (which I think is some kind of tribal badge on here... :lol: )
 
Hi and welcome, glad to see we have beenof some use even before you get the car. The 108's are lovely wheels but a bugger also. If it a main dealer and the car is under three years old demand brand new replacements, but the car must be under three years old.

If your nor buying from a main dealer and the car is under three years old then dont let them refurbish and then take to main delaer for replacment. Delaer wont want to know if they have been refurbished.

Good luck though with what ever you do.

:rofl: Sorry had to laugh

Panio Black = Dash Trim instead of Brushed Aluminium or Carbon Leather, which is bright gloss Black like a Piano.

Black Sapphire = Exterior Metalic Black as per my Z4.

Well, after a loooooooooooong wait, we finally got the car yesterday afternoon! Took it for a spin last night, and even though it was dark & wet out it was great to finally get out & play!

Hopefully the weather will clear up by the weekend and I can take some decent 'non-dealer' shots :D

We're going to the Pistonheads meet at BMW HQ in Bracknell on the 1st November - anyone else from here going?
