Incar Iphone cable to Bluetooth Adaptor

Hi All,

( Apologies if this in is the wrong place - i'm sure there used to be an audio sub forum - but i cant see for looking ... :oops: )

I have an iphone cable in my glovebox, but as it doesn't charge ( how silly is that ! ) i never use it. I was wondering if anyone had tried a bluetooth adaptor with one in the Z4 ?

There generally aimed at audio docs, but i don't see why it wouldn't work with the Zed, in theory at least, unless of course the no charging ( pita ) feature would mean it couldn't power it also ?

Alternatively how difficult / expensive is it to retro fit bluetooth ? ( Bog standard stereo facelift 56 plate )

As mentioned above, you can get adapters, it's because apple changed the charging pins around the time of the 3G/3GS. They went from 12v to 5v and older systems with only the 12v wont charge new decices. I have seen them on amazon, ill try find the link

Nice one - Thanks for the link - didnt know they existed :). I was trying a 3rd Gen ipod touch ( which i don't use anymore - and not charging was annoying ).

I use android mainly so wanted bluetooth, if no-one has tried the bluetooth adapter ill order one and report back if it works......
