Impromptu car boot sale on hard shoulder ! Can LOL now

Left home at 3-45am today to catch the Newhaven /Dieppe ferry at 10am (305miles for me )
Fully laden Astravan heading for renovation project in Normandy
5-30am i,d just left the M6 for M42 & heard a thud & my van felt "twitchy" . Pulled over & yep :cry: flat tyre that was literally "smoking"
Spare is located in the load area base so had to empty the inside that took me 90 mins to load , was in a mild panic as i didn,t want to miss the ferry
So out came a set of pine drawers , microwave oven, large ornate mirror , 2 new duvet,s + pillow sets ,garden bench , various boxes of tool,s & a satellite dish :cry:
I made the ferry just 25 mins before it left & now i,ve arrived at the house , vino open , feet up , woodburner going :) nightmare at the time but can laugh now at what must have looked quite amusing to those passing :oops:
 
That astra does some miles for you Mr W! very jealous of you right now though despite your jumble sale. Surprised the wombles / highways agency didn't stop to make some offers :rofl:
 
If I buy the ornate mirror will you chuck the garden bench in for free :D

Yeah it certainly does , had it 10 months & covered 24k :? can,t fault it for what i paid & what it does
As for the "wombles" rarely see them out of daylight hours , 5-30am they,d still be tucked up in bed
Took me 45 mins all told so was expecting some plod along at anytime but no sign , fortunately it was on the passenger side :roll:
