Importance of new Oil filter 0 rings

Recently bought a new Bosch oil filter that came with the large rubber ring for the oil filter cap and also a copper washer for the sump plug but no o rings, Iv just read that it's very important these o rings are changed regulary as if the fail pressurised oil escapes back down to the sump starving certain parts of oil leading to a major engines fail
Opions seem to vary as it seems some BMW garages don't bother changing these rings when fitting a new oil filter. Thoughts?

When I changed my filter, it included the 0 rings and I would want to change this at every oil change. Peace of mind thing really

Agree that's my thoughts.
Can someone confirm this would be the correct oil filter for my E85 3.0i.?

Looks like the right one to me. And yes, they are in the kit, so change them.
