I'm in the gang and bought a Z4! + a few questions

Many thanks to everyone that has put up with all my questions and helped me with my quest finding a Z4.

So here she is, 2006 Auto 2.5 with super low mileage and one owner. I found a nice one.


The mods begin next week, she's being lowered and spacers for starters.

A couple of questions, the previous owner hardly used the car, prior to me collecting the battery was flat so he took it off the car to recharge then replace.
Doing a quick search looks like the car is in 'Transport mode'. The fan is stuck on low speed and air con not working. Does this sound right?

Also my rear tyres need replacing (I knew this upon purchase) the previous owner wasn't sure if the correct size was on the car, currently she has 225/40 18
he was saying someone told him it should have 255/40 18. Can you help me out what it should have?
 
Welcome and the car looks great. The rears should be 255 35 18 as Marius said, but worth checking that the wheels are 8.5. If they aren't original they may be made up of 2 sets of fronts which are 8 j and would not fit the wider size on the rears.

Not sure but don't think those wheels were standard on 2.5 so could be aftermarket hence not staggered width ?
Transport mode is the norm after battery is gradually run down :wink: Unfortunately this is a reprogram/reset from dealer or indy with high level of computer equipment .
My car also was in the same mode & cost £85 to sort .

Thanks for the welcome :)

I'm new to the BMW world, so please bear with me and sorry for the questions. Will the wheels have the width info stamped on the inside of the wheel so I can check?
