I've been thinking about getting onboard recording equipment in my zed.After watching this,it will be sooner rather than later! :driving: :lol:

Yeah, our company supply them and I've had one sat in the car for ages, they are significantly better quality than those recordings though!!

You would be surprised, I had someone drive me into the centre of a roundabout the other day, would rather a scuffed alloy than having to deal with him going into the side of me as it was a company vehicle.
 
Pretty standard for Russia. I crap myself every time I go there. I've been in taxis that you can watch the road go by through the floor. One taxi didn't want to wait for the 130 carriage train to go by so jumped the gates. I could go on.
 
I've been looking on ebay for a 1080 hd one with a good frame rate.You can buy cheap,but you buy twice.Can anyone recommend a good un ? :thumbsup:

I can see if I can get a price from our guys on a single consumer camera. You'd have to wire it in yourself though (or just plug it into the cigarette lighter).
 
It could come in handy to stick on my sports bike for track days too.
What model do you have Seb.F ? Are you impressed with the picture quality?
 
Hero HD is great for cars and bikes! Must be good because they use them on fifth gear all the time and achieve broadcast quality videos! I have the previous model and can vouch that the camera mount is good for 165+ MPH! As I used it at the IoM TT last year on my bike!

+1 on Go Pro. I have 5 that I use to complement much more expensive camera set ups. Have had them mounted all over the car for some really great shots. Downside is (A) they're not the smallest / most inconspicuous, and (B) depending on the setting, you need to remove and download the footage from your card every couple of days. A very cheap and very effective solution is the 'witness driving' app for the iPhone - the best 69p you'll spend!

That was horrible to watch, some sad crazy scenes there. Easily a few deaths surely :(
