Hello all,
I had a Z4 3.0i back in 2005, but had to sell it after only a few months as I needed the money for a house. Now I'm middle aged with no more mortgage (and no hair), I thought I'd carry on from where I left off.

Just bought a lovely 2007 3.0Si Sport Auto. It looks like it's been really well looked after and hopefully someone on here was a previous owner who can tell me more about it.

Jobs done today were to clean out the roof drains (which were clogged), clean the roof, drill some holes in the fog lights (due condensation) and change some bulbs for LED.

More fettling tomorrow. I feel like a kid with a new toy. 8)

Hi Robbie, try adding pics by using the “add files” button bottom left of the script box, 3.0si is a good car :thumbsup:

It's in beautiful condition for its age but I'm already planning a number of jobs on it - headlight refurb, tracking tweek, DISA valve check, detailing etc.
I'm amazed at how long cars last now. My first car was a 10 year old Mini and it was a complete rust-bucket deathtrap, but this Z4 could have come out of the factory last year.
 
What a lovely car buddy. I've recently bought an 06 3.0si Coupe, black with red interior and likewise to replace a 2 seater I sold to buy a house in my youth.

It's a good point you make about cars, especially these. Mines 15 years old, and just turned over 200ks and it looks mint. Staggering how well these age.

Welcome to the forum. That’s a lovely looking car. I like the boot spoiler without going OTT on aero kit, and i’ve not seen leather on the roll bars before (but then I have a coupe); is that the extended leather option?

I'm not sure of the interior, other than what it says on the VIN decoder :
Individualleder Walknappa Champagner - LLCM
I.e. champagne soft nappa leather.

I slightly prefer the Zed without the spoiler, but I'm not going to remove it in case it pulls the paint off.

Montego Blue with the optional Champagne leather and gloss black trim looks fantastic. :thumbsup:

And the 3.0Si engine is great too - it looks like you've found a great Z4!
 
What a gorgeous Z4 and a lovely colour combo. Extended champagne leather and a piano black dash. Very classy. Glad you’re enjoying being back in a Z4. :thumbsup:

I passed my test in an Austin 1100 in 1979 which Mother had bought ca. 1973. Even by then there was rust bubbling up under the paintwork all over the place. My old Geography teacher at the about that time had committed the ultimate crime and bought a Honda Civic (I think), and I'm pretty sure that one of the features he proudly pointed out at the time were the plastic liners within the wheel arches which we now all take for granted. Meanwhile BL and it's workers were digging an ever bigger hole for themselves....

BL weren't alone! My 1st car in 1976 was a 1967 Cortina MK2 rot-box. It taught me a lot about strips of Duckhams oil cans, pop-rivets, filler and rattle cans! :lol:

My mini was a 1974 model. I think it was scrapped just after I sold it in 1986.
As a kid I could never believe it when BL were going on strike for "washing up time".
A friend of mine bought a new Marina. He said it braked strangely, so took it back to the dealer. It had a disc brake on one side and a drum brake on the other !! :cry:
