ignition barrel rattle

I've got a rattle from the ignition barrel. It appears over bumpy roads and basically i think that the entire key moves up and down in the barrel. Has anyone else had this? Or does anyone have any experience of taking the ignition barrel apart - which is what i think I'll have to do?

Yes I had that one.

Eventually the Dealer agreed to change the ignition barrel under warranty which cured the rattle and loose fitting key.

do you keep a heavy set of keys? I use the key just by itself, with nothing else attached.

No just the key and fob.

Same, just the key alone. Not lookign forward to taking it apart. I think I'll end up having to replace the barrel anyway
