On the M25, sitting in a major jam and getting late for my tunnel crossing to France this afternoon. Was parked next to the HADECS camera for about 15 minutes not moving at all so was having a good look at it. My camera detector had warned me about it about 15 minutes earlier when I was almost there.

Suddenly, there was some traffic movement and without thinking I just pulled away hard. Except that I was at that stage in the "capture" area I would guess of the unit and I was doing over 50 in those few seconds in a 40 limit

Prayng that the unit was not on but I could not believe that I had forgotten about it. No flash seen (no idea if they always flash).

They always flash if they are triggered. 50 with 40 on the board should be fine. I frequently go from the m23 to the m4 using the m25 and treat forty on the board as a 50, 50 on the board as a 60 etc and I've never heard anything.

It frustrates me that they always seem to leave the boards on way after the congestion has cleared. Bloody stupid things that make the traffic worse in my opinion

Worst part was that the traffic stopped literally within a few hundred yards again to stationary level. So literally the only bit of movement was right in front of the camera

And I missed the train, and the next train had a broken down coach in it - great day yesterday ....
