It was a very enjoyable watch.

Also worth a watch was "Speed with Guy Martin" on C4 last night. It was the first in a 4 part series. That lad is brave!

+1
Highly recommend watching 'TT on the edge' if you haven't seen it. Lots of good Guy stuff on there.

Got the 3D version brings things (speed and risk) into perspective

Guy Martin is a legend...
Idris Elber is a legend,in his own mind.

I liked the king of speed program but i though Idris was a bit of a mechanical numbskull to be honest. No feel for anything he drove or rode even when repeatedly told what to do,just throttle and crash..

Agree. I also enjoyed it, but not as much as the Racing Legends series, for example, where the presenters had a much more discerning, respectful feel for the cars they were let loose in (even that chef bloke, who is normally fairly repulsive).

Elba is definitely a screen legend; in The Wire he is phenomenal and you can see that from how the policeman and the street racer guys treated him. Not sure I'd let him drive my car though, or even change my tyres - did you see him cranking that tyre iron like a well pump?! Ouch.

Sand :o
Guy Martin is a legend.. I met him in aug at Bikeworld (Ireland) and he is a top bloke.. Respect!

An old looking 32 year old tho?

Does adrenalin make you look old?

Watched Guy Martin and he did well on a pushbike and decent truck driver too :)

Idris just tried too hard and seemed to crash or fall off everything he touched, but I'm gutted I didn't know he was with Paddy Hopkirk at Curborough in the Mini. That place is only about 5 miles from me :headbang:
