Idle static or slight beat?

Hi all-sorry for yet another post :oops: did a search but couldnt really find an answer,as above really,my e46 seemed to be static on 750 rpm but the zed seems to fluctuate slighly-only a slight beat either side of 750 rpm-is this normal?-i know i keep comparing it to my e46 which i know i shouldnt as they are obviously totally different cars but it is the only other BMW i have owned.-thanks
 
could be linked to a cracked manifold as per your other thread :poke:
