I want to do an engine swap!

Has anybody bought a body damaged M3 or M6 or anything with a big engine and swapped the body panels from a Z4 onto it? Surely this might be easier than trying to transplant the other way round!

I dont think the body panels from model to model swap? The cars are built on very different chassis.

Well I appreciate there might be some fabrication in order - but surely it's possible!!

Seriously you might as well be asking if you can bolt Z4 the panels to a fighter jet, it just ain't going to happen!

I tell ya what you drop off a damaged e90 m3 and a damaged z4 to my workshop and i will see what i can do......

Not a Z4, but I've seen that done loads of times.

I was sort of kidding at first but once it was made clear the extra work involved in a simple "engine transplant" I seriously wondered if it was possible to change body panels. I thought the Z4 and 3 series BMW had the same chassis?
