Had a ride in a Z4M today and now I want one. Thanks to Abernethy for the blast very impressed with the performance. Made my 2.5 feel rather sluggish.

The majority of my miles will be company miles, which I will be reimbursed for. I'm sure the rate won't cover the full cost, but probably enough to minimise the pain. And The Plan involves buying one when I know I can afford to run it.

Of course when I win the lottery everything will be fine and I can do what I want :D

It won't be a daily driver so running costs aren't an issue. I was looking at getting a facelift 3.0 next year but might be able to stretch to an M, funds & wife permitting!!

I used to run a supercharged version of the Mini Cooper S (06) for a few years as a daily. Would average 25-30k miles per year and 27 MPG. 40p per mile reimbursement made it very very possible :thumbsup:

My M is a high days and holidays car. However im opting out if the company car scheme on tuesday so it will be my daily driver until I get a replacement commuter. Thinking 123d coupe. Ive run cars daily with worse mpg in the past so not phased by this. Just go into it with your eyes open and a short commute and running it daily shouldn't be so bad!

I've spent quite a bit on fuel in the six(ish) weeks I have had my M... You can try and say you won't use it everyday but its so hard to resist... I do have a 1.4L Diesel Fiesta to even it up usage and fuel costs a bit but on these cold days its hard to shirk the heated seats :wink:
 
I use mine daily. I think it depends on your mindset.

I know mine is my daily, so I don't thrash it around everywhere like you may do if it was a weekend toy. I am currently returning 28 mpg.

At times, I obviously go for a little blast, but if you drive it sensibly the mpg isn't that bad I don't think.

30+ mpg can be achieved on a run.

I think it's very good for a 340hp sports car.

If you like driving it, why resist using it everyday. Life is too short!
