Well it looks like I'll be picking up my Z4 at the weekend, so I'll give you my story seeing as I used a lot of information from this site before making the leap.
It's a 2004 Merlot 2.2SE with 72k miles.
I wasn't originally looking at Z4's because I only had a £5k budget but I managed to get this for close enough to make it worth eating food in white packets for a month or two. The colour was what got me hooked in the first place because I wanted a colour that was a little different and once I've got my hands and a bar of clay on it it should look great!
It's mainly going to be a weekend car as I cycle to work most days but I needed something to get to play football and visit the parents because I can't stand long trips in the girlfriend's MINI. We have been it sharing for the last 6 months because we don't really 'need' a 2nd car but I have been going mad without a car to call my own.
I was looking for the 2.2 to keep overall costs as low as possible and because the girlfriend is only 22 and will be added to the insurance the smaller engine was the best idea.
So I'll hopefully be about asking a few questions to get things just right and I'll get some pictures up after the weekend (although it is supposed to be raining all weekend, I'm not surprised!).
