Nicely done! B&Q did something similar the other day - a new torque wrench and full set of sockets for... £59.98? Nope! £24.98!! Even the bloke on the checkout looked at it, cancelled it and rescanned it, then went "Blimey, I'll be grabbing a set too when my shift is done!".

You don't have to, the price displayed is an invitation to treat, the shop is not obliged to sell their goods even if you are willing to pay for them. If the displayed price was 50p they could refuse the sale at the checkout, the offer is only made when you offer an amount in payment and that is accepted.

So it seems lotusboy must have made an offer they couldn't refuse 8)
