I have just put winter boots on the Z. Yea me.

Few months back bought some 16” Z4 wheels off eBay £120.

Just bought from Tyretraders online 4 GOODYEAR 225/50R16 92H ULTRAGRIP GW3* RunFlat including postage £612.10. Ordered Thursday 8 (late) arrive Monday 12.

Took them to my local fitter Fitted and balanced etc. £36.00

Drove the car since and it does feel much better.

Total Cost £768.10 OUCH!! But as I live in North Wales at 1200 feet they are a must.

Just thought I would say 

Nice tyres...ouch at the cost though. My local tyre place refused to fit tyres they hadn't supplied :idunno:

I think thats a bit mean. Mine actually said they could not get them in my size but had no qualms in fitting them.

Alsoo advised that all stored tyres should be decompressed as well

You could of bought a 4x4 Freelander for that price and saved the winter wear and tear on the Z :D

An outfit near work are very good. If they're busy it's not high priority but they get it done and not too much a corner either. But some get very pissy about it.

That looks like some trouble free motoring right there! You still need winters on it if you want to use it when it's snowy / icy... you may be able to get going, but how do you intend stopping the damn thing? :?

We've fitted winter tyres with steel wheels to my wife's car last winter and a total bill of @ £ 600 all in seemed steep. Now they've been fitted for the second winter, it now seems like a good deal. They will last we rekon for 4 or 5 winters before the tyres need replacing, and if we change the car, we can ebay them as a set.It was the best cash I've ever spent on a car as the thing will anywhere in snow ( I tried it!!) despite it only being a Toyota Yaris.Luckily my company car is a Rav4, so I look forward to snow so I can go out and play!! The Z stays at home during snowy times. :D

i am so pleased i did it, they are so much better.

I aggree abouty the cost and that I am looking to keep the car for 3 to 4 years I hope so these should last till then.

Also as not spinning so much saves loads of wear as well
