Hi all I have a mic or mic grill cover next to interior light, I have the business stereo but I'm not sure if I have Bluetooth. What's the easiest way to tell if I have it? My phone doesn't detect anything

Any ideas?

Large bulge in the carpet about 1" deep, 9" x 6" on the bulkhead, in the boot on the LHS. Holds the ULF module if you have Bluetooth.

Check out this thread there are instructions for finding out your as-built spec.

The mic on mine with business radio is on top of the steering wheel cowling. Didn't think it went anywhere else?

Also do you have a phone cradle in lid of centre console storage box?

And more telling, a thick cable running from the storage box into the carpet.

Not had chance to check yet, do have a cradle with velcro strap on the inside of the console door - does that mean is got it?

There's no phone buttons on the frond of the sterio and I don't have any buttons on the steering wheel. Is there a sub menu to activate it?

If you have no bt button inside the center console... Then you have no way to pair it = no bt!

Didn't someone else have a BT pair button somewhere else unusual? Did it move in the model run, like the MIC cover moved to the column?

If you don't have one, don't fret, the BMW module is not great anyway, put in a Dice if you're thinking of using an iPod, or simply get a Parrot system. A few people on here have fitted them to generally positive feedback

All fitted in the same place. If you oem retrofitted then a small round push button was supplied but still located the the centre console flap.

Parrot and a few others do a stealth kit if you want to keep everything oem looking.

Might have been me. I have no cradle, thus no pairing button at all. Car automatically searches when the key is turned. I can pair at that time. I can't imagine how one could have BT without a MFSW though. With a MFSW, the only sure way to tell is by the presence of the ULF module in the boot or it being listed on the car's build spec.
