Ordered 2 front Discs and Pads for my Jeep Wrangler from EuroCarParts, no worries methinks ..... and they arrived.
Right part number on box, wrong discs inside.
They describe them on their site as 280mm diam 72mm offset, which is what I need, what arrived was 300mm diam, 25 mm offset ......

Called customer services which could well have been on the other side of the planet ...... bottom line, as the part number on the box is correct, they will not accept returns .......

When I commented that I was not interested in the box .... I was interested in what was inside ...... I got an unintelligble rant.

...... and no, they would not allow me to talk to a supervisor or manager ........

Guess I will be walking into EuroCarParts Edinburgh on Saturday morning, hope they have a sense of humour ....... :D

That's diabolical customer service.
Hope your local store can provide better assistance.

If you paid by credit card I would dispute the charge...

+1 - if they don't sort you out do this. Your CC company should credit you with the cost and then charge it back to Eurocarparts. Your CC company will ask you for any evidence you have I think. ECP can dispute it, but they have to do so within 21 days and many don't even realise it has happened until the time limit has expired. Of they do they will provide proof of your order and proof of delivery if it was signed for, but I think you win under consumer rights / distance selling laws... Persist with them though as they'll probably cave, if not on the phone then in-store.

Distance Selling Regulations Surely?

7 days. No questions. Only issue there might be the return postage.

or try http://www.ceoemail.com/ to mail the boss, or, facebook/twitter. Some people tend to react speedily once it's in the public domain like that!

They simply can't do that.

7 days as above. Credit card payment dispute, as above.

Also, if the contents differ from the packaging, Trading standards will be most interested.

Did you get the name of the moron who answers you call, they should not be doing that job.

Don't count on it. I went into my local branch last week to get some Wynn's stop oil leak, the girl behind the counter was so surly & unhelpful that I told her not to bother I would be going to Halfords.

I've nothing but good to say about my local ECP store.

Hopefully your local is just as helpful and welcoming!

+1 on my local ECP too, only issue is it takes ages to get served & out of principle I wont use the bell & fast lane for click & collect - I don't see why I should queue jump even though that's the idea.
