Yeah the VX is a totally different beast. I'll be getting another VX when I've had my fun in the Zed.

Hi yes that's me small world eh? Not sure on the made in Germany thing I'll have a look. I thought the zeds were all made in the us?
Vincent I had a look at the two black badges on the wings and it just says something like made for BMW it doesnt say Made in Germany.
Just as a little update I've done a couple of hundred miles in the Zed now and really getting used to it. Coming from a VX220 there are a couple of things I've had to adjust to. The ease of which it breaks traction is the main one as the VX had to be provoked into a slide even in the bad weather. The Zed just need a bit of lock and a dab of throttle and its off! Also having a diff and wider tyres it snaps back in quite harshly when you come out of a slide this is quite an odd sensation at first but I'm getting used to it. The DSC allows a wee bit of slip I see so I think that will do for me until the weather improves. Its enough to scare the wife anyway
