Do both of these produce the same results? I know its best to have 4 wheel alignment done, not just regular tracking, and been told that a hunter machine will do this. Can you get same from Jim beam/bean?

I was gonna get this done a month or two back but new baby has scuppered most of my plans until now. Have been put in touch with a company using jb machine who say it ll cost 36 quid and seems too good to be true.

Ultimately it will be as much down to the operator as to the machine, so I wouldn't get too hung up on it if I were you. For example over the years not every operator has weighted my cars properly, nor checked the tyre pressures to ensure consistently, even though they should.

From what I read a John Bean machine should be much like a Hunter though, in that it's a proper geometry machine and not some Kwik Fit esq piece of string. See here - http://www.johnbean.com/johnbean/wa.asp

Most places charge an initial flat rate that includes one adjustment. So your £36 may or may not cover a full adjustment. If all your wheels need doing then it may be more, or they could just be cheap. Normally I budget about £60 - £80 for this sort of thing, and for those of us in the south I can recommend Wheels in Motion/Blackboots.

Cheers james. Another member said he had it done at the same place and was happy with the results. I'll prepare for a bigger bill though as I'm sure all wheels will need adjusting.
