Hunter alignment...comments?

I've had the car almost a year now but haven't driven it much at all the last 3 months. Been away, work etc.
Anyway about time it had an alignment check I thought. I wasn't noticing any abnormal tyre wear or pulling to one side but at higher speeds it felt like I had to concentrate too much to keep it online. I had to make too many small corrections constantly. Hard to explain. Not really tramlining, more like it felt nervous.
Tyre pressures as per the book. Tyres and suspension are standard OEM. Car has 24k miles. Not intending to track the car this year.

The nearest local place to me in Poole that had a Hunter alignment system was Christchurch Tyres in err...Christchurch :)
As I'm a bit of a noob at all this, I thought I would post for any comments and as a record for others.

Looks to me like a few things were out like the rear and front toe. I queried the front camber. Was told they do it like this to stop pulling to the left for normal road use. Its just on the edge of the range I guess.

I didn't get over 50mph driving back home to Poole but it felt ok and will give it a faster run tomorrow to see how it feels.

Personally I'd have it set correct and compensate by myself for any effect of road camber.
That said looks like the minutest change put it out of spec.

///M's are known to pull to the left so will be interesting to see what others come up with who have had this done.

Are they? :o

Must be something wrong with mine then - as it brakes in a straight line on a flat road (with hands off the steering wheel), and doesn't need any right-biased input to the steering on the motorway either.

Yes, that's what I heard from others. Mine didn't though before the re-alignment. Think I might have been happier with just a little more toe at the front and the rear fixed.

About to go out but high winds today might preclude a good comparison.

Well it drove better than before. Much more settled on the road and more relaxing to drive at higher speed. Not pulling left or right.

I had mine carried out last week. I'll get it scaned in and posted up.

The front camber settings defo look wrong!

Mine pulls ever so slightly to the left as well. I was told by BMW that this is "normal" for the M and that they all do that. But never did get a satisfactory explanation as to why

It is only very very slightly

It's in Andy's FAQ which is where I remember first seeing it, but have heard this since.
