Hunter alignment - aka ****'up

I had new tyre's fitted last week and after a winter of hitting 101 potholes I thought I may aswell get a 4 wheel alignment. I found a place down the road in tamworth and had the work carried out yesterday

Today I had to drive up to stoke and after a few minutes on the motorway I had the 'oh s**t' beep and a flurry of lights on the dashboard

The only thing I could do to reset the car was to turn off and on the engine, which I had to do 3 times there and back

Anyway, just got home and looked over the alignment sheet and they had used the E89 config...

I'll be calling them on Monday morning

You also delayed the upgrade of my satnav with your call to Mac ;)

I'd recommend getting it done at Tanvic tyres if there;s one near you, they're good guys used them religiously to do the Hunter tracking on my E92.
 
Wow - big screw up.

I use the place in Erdington Rich - just dwn from the Merc dealers.
Really decent job on mine.
 
Omg, thats appalling, but how does a dodgy alignment cause these lights?

Did it drive strange too?

If the realignment has altered the position of the front wheels relative to each other, I understand that the Steering Angle Sensor needs to be reset.
 
****Update

I took the Z back over the NationWide Repairs (Tamworth) this morning

While driving over all the error lights popped up again so disabling all driving aids

It took them about an hour to complete the work and looking over the check sheet a hell of a lot has changed.

I asked for a discount or refund due to hassle caused, and the fact i had to take the morning off work. The managers response was "well our technician has put a lot of work into the car" my response "because he did it wrong the first time!"

A blank look from him followed, to which i just walked off

Anyway... I took the car for a long 40 mile drive and the tramlining has gone, more importantly the errors have not popped back up

Fingers crossed this draws a line through the matter
