humming, whirring noise after lowering

So Since I had the car dropped a little on H&R's I now have a whirring noise from what seems to be the front. It wasn't there prior to lowering the car and thought It may be the alignment. Now thats sorted its still there, wheile it was on the ramps they gave it a once over and everything seemed well.

Its not a grinding, bearing noise more like a tyre noise. Doesn't happen when going slow just as I push on.

Any thoughts before It goes back on the ramps?

Does it differ on steering movement/lock, or on bumpy ground?

Could still be bearing or cv joint related if not rubbing.

mainly in straight line really, lower speeds/turn/lock there's no noise. more noticeable with speed, actually sounds like tyre hum but doubt that as never had it before.

Its just strange its happened the minute i had the springs put on, not like its been progressive... just happened

Won't the tyre be running on a different part of the tread pattern now it's lowered?

yeah thats what I'm hoping, also the inner rears wear worn more due to the alignment being out before so I'm prob on a fresh part of the rubber now so hoping its that. needs checking I guess as in for a full service soon but hoping its the rubber

Looks like its a wheel bearing, noise goes when turning left so think its the pas side front. in the garage in the AM for a fix

When I had my coupe lowered, almost instantly I heard a whirring, humming noise from the rear. Turned out to be NSR wheel bearing. My thinking on it is that the bearing was probably already worn but once lowered and with some hard cornering more pressure would be put through it. This accelerated the wear.

Bearing was goosed, all fixed and running well

Just read this and it is an odd noise and not one you'd associate with a bearing (happened on my first Zed and took a couple of different mechanics before I got it fixed) so not surprised you were confused at first.
