Huge amount of help from bigwin

Great news all round - that's what makes this forum so special!

I haven't met Stuart but I did meet Ian a few years ago when I bought some wheels from him and he is a real gent.

But Stuart must be too, so hat's off to him.

I was starting to think it must be a Lincolnshire thing, but then I remembered Pondrew.

Well! You know Iain, Spalding has always been seen as a strange place. Even by Lincolnshire Yellow Bellies.

Lincolnshire Yellow Bellies

Is that a term of endearment or a derogatory?
It sounds a bit derogatory doesn’t it? But locals born and bred in Lincolnshire refer to each other as ‘yellow bellies’ just as people from Newcastle are known as ‘Geordies’. So it is used in a kindly way.

When you have lived in Lincolnshire for more than 25 years there is a chance they might regard you as a near local. I have been here for 26 years so feel I might be getting close.

Only 12 years for me. I don't know whether the locals are friendly as I don't speak Polish or Romanian, so it's hard to tell. :D
Most Brits I know around here are from Essex or Kent. :D
