How to work rain sending wiper?

I mean, do I even have them? I have auto lights?

Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't? It's almost as if I have to switch on my intermittent wipers & then after that they seem to do their own thing-wiping when necessary.

Obviously I could read the manual but where's the fun in that

The auto wipers are disabled when you start the car - stops them going off accidentally in a car wash or when the blades are stuck to the window with ice for example. You just have to change one of the parameters to switch auto on - I usually just flick the sensitivity switch up and back down one place
