How to use OEM aux input with no nav?

Lool. That's how I felt when he accepted £35. Now I feel even worse.
He's a good ebayer though. Prompt delivery.

If you hadn't mention what you paid I may have missed the offer bit and considered the buy now price lol
Any one else interested try £25
The manual on B/B website was also useful
Thanks again

I think you bought the last one

I did ,arrived this morning ,amazing ,product is exactly what I wanted ,auto linking(after initial pairing ) ,usb power and a premium manufacturer

And a quick tip.
Took power from fuse box into this halfords thingy with a USB cable supplying power to the bluetooth streamer. Powers up on ignition position 1 (from satnav fuse).

Sorry op... Any luck with your aux issue?

Must admit just found a 10cm 3.5 to 3.5 and a 10cm mini USB cables and will plug into the cig lighter USB plug and the 3.5 Aux in OEM position
placing the unit in the ash tray the USB plug has two outlets and the iPhone in a Brodit ( rather than B/T cradle )so I can see sat nav and taking USB charge from plug

This one works well ,as long as Aux is functioning, obviously , bit more than a fiver but can recommend

This is the one I got and at £18 I must have imgined it was only a fiver! Wegras recommended at the time I seem to remember

I did
but the Blackberrry one Rialas found is awesome .Most importantly once paired it connects automatically as soon as you plug into usb power source
only a little larger than the one above but high on convenience and although no battery for this use probably ideal as car obviously has the power

Just seen Rim are bringing out a new version in June using NFC and bluetooth so there should be more bargains out there (new one "will be c $50
http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/news/network-wifi/3355010/blackberry-music-gateway-uses-nfc-stream-audio/?cmpid=HTML-DN010512&olo=daily%20news

Just bare in mind that if your car has Bluetooth phone connectivity (as mine has), you need a streamer that ONLY supports the music, otherwise your Bluetooth will clash.

ie
With the current model, the blackberry plays the music, but when you get a call, music cuts out and the Car-Bluetooth takes over. When the phone call ends, the streamer resumes. Perfect.

Ok. Just read the NFC feature which doesn't apply to iPhones so don't know what the benefit would be to blackberry users.

Looks like it has caused a firesale of the old ones :D

Thanks for the advice guys. I took it all out yesterday and found that everything was connected as expected. I removed all of the connectors and checked the wires for good connection. Tried several times with still no Aux option on the head unit. i have now removed the aux lead and connector from the car and to me it doesnt look as if it has any resistors or capacitors in it that it should do in order for the head unit to pick it up... seems very strange considering this is an oem and standard fit part.

The larger connector is the actual Aux input mounted in the dash. Took the whole lot out. I'm pretty sure the install is OEM from the parts and way the cables were loomed.
