Just going to do a stone chip repair myself. Has anyone used a product called Langka rather than sanding as just bought some but not used it yet?

Yep.. i find it great... but dont let the paint dry too long.. i would say 2 hrs (as advised in the leaflet) is perfect.

And make sure you polish/ wax the area after.

Bit slow though.. if you have lots of chips to fill in and then spend 30 secs per spot rubbing the card over!

Sorry to hijack this post. Ok sounds good and thanks for the recommendation of 2hrs as most of the clips I have seen say 24hrs. Also I have seen the card being used flat but actually better results using the edge of the card with the Langka on it in almost slicing any raised paint off. Any advice?

Thats how i used the card... the edge wrapped in cloth and use it to "cut" the top of the excess paint off.

Can use a razor too if you are feeling brave - i certainly am not!!

I use either a carbide denibber or a run razor to shave the paint, I don't like the idea of wet sanding the surrounding areas to level the touch up...

Have to say I am very impressed with Langka!! Stupidly I didn't take any before pics and none of the chips were that big but they have come up really well. I did a couple of layers of paint and then overfilled slightly on the last layer and then used Langka to smooth them off, quick polish and you now have to look really hard to notice them.

did you lacque on top of them? i wanted to - but i couldnt see them after

Nope I mixed some clear coat in with the paint and don't think its needed, also as I layered up the paint if I now added clear coat it probably be higher than the OEM paint?
