How to tell if a car is SE or Sport from a classified ad

Awesome! Lovely SE you've got yourself there

Seriously, she looks a beauty. Welcome to the Z4 owners club, and specifically the very exclusive coupe owners club

My insurance company classify mine as an SE even though it is a Sport, it must be how it is registered at the DVLA? I queried this with them and they said it made no difference to the quote anyway...

It's got to be a sport then surely.
No one in their right mind would buy an se then select every single option required to make it a sport. Wouldn't make any sense and would surely have cost way way more than just buying an se. Even if the buyers motivation was to have the comfier se suspension it would have been cheaper just to buy the se shocks and springs and have them fitted than option an se into a sport. Even then you sort of defeat the objective by opting for 18" wheels

The car on the right is an SE fitted with sports heated seats in red, cruise, sat nav, folding mirrors, extended leather, Multi function M Sport steering wheel, piano black trim, storage pack, sun protection glass, black headlining. The only things SE were the wheels and suspension. Crazy spec SE but original owner must have really disliked sports suspension.
I like to think I trumped him as I have a green top tint windscreen and he didn't 😋
