How to replace water pump.

Ok so I'm replacing my water pump. I was able to get the 4 bolts out and I started sliding the water pump out but it dosnt have enought space to slide out because it hits the radiator fan. What am I supposed to do to remove the water pump? I have a 2003 BMW z4 2.5i
