How to remove swirl marks

Always start on the lowest and work up.
For instance... Megs 80 then if not move upto 83, you can also get different results with the pad hardness as well, so it's not an exact art.
I would doubt you would get good removal without a PC or rotary, but before you go too mad I would check the paint depth, when I had mine done, it was obvious the front had been done before so care was taken not to go mad and break through the clear coat.
I had my car 'detailed' and corrected by a pro it cost £250, which sounds like a lot but once you've bought all the kit etc etc it works out quite a bit cheaper. I would say I got about an 85% removal and he worked like a dog for 8hrs.....

I got an air wand attachment for my blower just for doing cars. My neighbors gave up any hope of me being sane when it comes to washing my cars so they don't even look up when I fire up the leaf blower to dry my cars.

No, normally just 1 wash mit. The idea is you was a small section of the car then rinse the mit out to get the dirt off in your clean water bucket then put more clean shampoo mix on then wash the next bit... So you have one bucket with just water and another with shampoo & water......
Sponges are bad as the dirt get trapped on the surface so you get an abrasive effect....
Some people use 2 mits one for the lower extra dirty half then another for the cleaner bits.
