how to lower e89 without changing springs

Make sure that you have put the new shocks all the way into the hubs so they sit in the correct position...

If you have done more than 100 miles and your ride height is still incorrect then you have assembled incorrectly

That's not true. You can get different spring perches which allow the height to be raised or lowered depending on the depth of the perch.

Google e90 spring perches. The fact you can get them for e90s maybe you can get them for the e89s too.

Perches would have reduced the ride height? I’d rank such things with wheel spacers tbh. Use at your own risk.

Yeah, like I say, there are spring perches for the e90 which gain circa 10mm, maybe you wouldn't use them but I was more refering to your statement being incorrect
