I have Bluetooth prep. but how do i connect phone to the unit, now it just stand activate phone...

Phone: Iphone 3gs

Press the button in the centre console (fold down flap) for 3 seconds then whilst holding switch ignition on, pairing will commence.

Hey!
I have just tried to do that you wrote. But i cant find any device on my phone and my car still says: "activate your phone."

I pressed the "phone" button in car, its this wrong?

If it says "activate your phone" then it's not in pairing mode.

Do not use the button on the steering wheel, it need to be the one in the centre console.

Do you have a manual?

I have a manuell z4 m coupe. i didnt try in the steering wheel. i tried in the center holed "phone button" in 5 seconds, nothing happening.

The communications manual ,a thin booklet that comes with factory fit Bluetooth

Ok i maybe have this but its in germany :S

If you pm me I can send you a pdf of the relevant page (in English )
However on my non sat nav Z I need a passkey to pair
I thought that was required for Bluetooth

Paring is a royal pain in the arse.... When I got my 4s in jan I didn't pair it for 2 weeks as it was too much hassle!

I find holding the bottom for under the 3 sec the manual states works.

I also found the steering wheel button works just as well as the cubby one.

Its is possible to even play music whit the Bluetooth? Or is it just calls?
In which case are you reading the correct manual because it is crystal clear
Just calls
do you have the pairing code /pin/passkey a 4digit code which is part of the process

No i do not have the code, where do i find that? In have bluetuth prep. in my spec. Does that acutely means that i can use phone or maybe i will haft to by some more stuff before this works??

the code is printed on a card delivered with the vehicle's documentation when new
It is also on the Bluetooth unit somewhere in the boot
Your Dealer can extract it from the Vehicle ECU by hooking up in the workshop
usually for a charge

How many times have you read the relevant manual or are you guessing
it does not work the way you describe

IF YOU WISH I WILL EMAIL THE PDF IF YOU PM ME.... last offer

Once you've located the code, you might find that following the process to delete all the existing pairings before you try and pair yours helps. I couldn't get my phone to pair until I did this.
