Hi all,

Just came across this on the old youtube https://youtu.be/-MfVY-CkDyM

Seeing as people are charging up to £25 to do this and itll cost you £1 for the battery, got to be worth a look.

I thought the battery was rechargeable, with no option to swap. Charged via the ignition
That is for non comfort access cars only.
My car has comfort access, you can tell by simply looking at your key.
I have been cycling my keys monthly to keep them charged but I now know my keys have a simple button battery in, changing them both today, even thought the car warns you well before they get low.

Bit like my sister, she spent a year winding her 16th birthday watch, until it stopped.
We didn't realise back in 1980 the watch had a battery in it.

Ok cool, I must be non comfort, definitely nothing to open on the back of the remote.

Thanks for sharing this

I replaced battery in fob non comfort model.
Actually buy battery and case and resolder new battery to circuit board and fit to new case.
