How to attach reflective side marker?

I lost the reflective marker from the side of my E85, got a new one from Sopers but it looks like there should be some clips which attach to the plastic pins on the marker on the inside of the wheel arch

Could I glue it in place instead using Araldite?

Or pack out the plastic pins with some rubber to make them a snug fit in the holes?

Don't really want to be taking the wheel arch trim off and I don't have the required clips
