I like the idea of flicking the reverse lights on for a second or two at lights...
If I have someone behind me right up my rear bumper I stick the hazard lights on for a few seconds and start slowing down, usually has the desired effect.
Once, in my old 330 e46, I had a spotty urchin in a golf up my bumper for a good half mile. I did the above, slowed right down, then gave it a bit of gas to get some space, around 100m. Urchin immediately sped up to catch up, flashing lights, giving me middle finger etc.
Still at ~50m behind me he was concentrating too hard on accelerating and swearing at me that he missed the police car turning into our road from a sideroad. In my mirror I see the indicating police volvo make pretty much an emergency stop to avoid losing its bonnet and the urchin then swerve into the other side of the road. Hilarity.
