Hi all as above what is the success rate for disconnecting the battery to get rid of the red airbag light?-I have searched but looks a bit iffy regarding losing settings, dancing windows etc..-just wondering if its worth going to my indy  -thanks

Fault stored in control unit ... Needs read !
Disconnecting the battery should do nothing for it . It's a simple enough system for a proper equiped person .

where are you? I might have a code reader coming my way?
Thanks-I have a code reader but don't think it has red airbag light switching off facilities  -Cottingham near Hull

Jeez Andy. Is there ever a time your car isn't shining a light at you?:cry:

oh really? I'm new to this bmw marlarky, on vag stuff you can read with a code reader and on Hondas u can clear it with a paperclip...

Andy - few of us have INPA which cleared my airbag light. You coming on the midlands meet or the wolds run, could hook up then?

Btw - tried one of the code reset tools - one especially for airbags and BMW cars - it did nothing for my light.
