How much power can handle the OEM wheels and brakes ?

Within the month probably I will buy a csl style airbox and I was wondering how much power do you believe can handle the standard OEM wheels and the brakes?

Also I will change the tires of the car and I was wondering if it worths to make an upgrade to 19" inch wheels.
Due to the fact that we have bumpy roads in my city, I do not want to have a car that gets too stiff and I don't want to loose also that playful character that the car has on 1st and 2nd gear...

hi, doesn't the M come with 19' wheels as standard? Also I don't think a different airbox is going to overwhelm the standard brakes & tyres

I'm sure the wheels and tyres will happily take 500+ hp. Bit more than changing the Air box will get you. The brakes fade on the ///M, if you work them very hard and people do occasionally :driving: . So any power hike it would be worth thinking about a brake upgrade too. :)

18's unfortunately Rob :(

It's a shame because I think it would look really good as a 19.

Agree mostly with the above. 18s were standard - for a reason. However, 19s are commonly fitted but only for looks. BBK will help but you need to judge your own driving style. If you are into white knuckle drives or track, seriously consider the upgrade. If not, not so much of an issue

Thank you guys. Since I do not race the car, I will stay with the 18" then and keep that extra cash for new brake upgrades.

The power gain from an intake (even a CSL style box) will not be enough to make a meaningful difference in the tire or braking performance. You can overheat everything even with stock power if you try hard enough! :driving:
