How much is a set of standard z4m wheels worth?

Thinking of changing to csl wheels. As I have a spare set of track wheels I figured I may as well sell my standard rims. I've never seen any for sale before but has anyone any idea what they would be worth? They are mint with some nearly new ps2's on the rears and plenty left on the fronts.

there is mixed reports about that though breaker... plenty on here have done it without apparent issue :?

They range.

I sold mine last year. Have seen them go for less, but also more than what I got.

Wish I'd have kept them to be honest, as I'll may buy a set and sell the CSL's when the car goes.

Key to that statement ;) :)

My only worry is the altered track width, if any, as that will change the balance of the car, maybe in less desireable ways than you might want.

i've seen them go on ebay from £150 up to £800 - so no help what so ever :D

(wish i'd bid on the ones that went for 150 though!)

I'd say £600 with nearly new tyres - otherwise you're just giving the tyres away free, when they've cost £800 themselves.

In fact, I'd probably offer you £600 if they're in good nick and have more than 6mm of tread all round.

Although that offer would be conditional on me actually having any cash to spend on anything, as I assume you don't take Visa :P

Well I got £575 for mine, and the tyres had done 1200 miles.

I have seen them go for up to £800 though.

there's plenty non-m's with those wheels on, including me. They are around £364 per wheel without tyres from a dealer.

If anyone was offering £800 Then I'd sell not really worth it to me to let them go for £600. I'll haver ponder :D

Exactly what I think. I think at £600 they can just sit in the garden.

I think it was DGM that sold his a couple of weeks ago for £750 and they sold straight away.

Are the fronts the original Continental tyres?

What's the tread depth of all four tyres?

Fronts are oringinal contis loads of tread left probably 4.5mm the cars done 15k but previous owners have been very sedate! I'm still using the original rear tyres on my track wheels.

i've sent you a mail

I did indeed sell a set of Z4M wheels a couple of weeks ago, they went for around what I was asking. I've been toying with the idea of selling them since I got the car and put the CSL's on but never got round to it. I decided to get a second set of CSL's and run them with Michelin Cups during the summer so to help fund that I sold the original 18's. I think the value of the Z4M wheels have definitely gone up a bit recently and that's because their desireability increased when it was established on this forum that they fitted the non M cars with no apparent issues.

How are the CSL's? I know this topic will have been covered before but are they really that much different to rise on than the standard 18s?

Well I found the ride to be better on 19" CSL's with PS2's than on the 18" originals with Conti's. I would guess that the Conti's are the main reason for that though, they just don't suit the Z4M at all. It felt like a different car with the 19" Michelin's on it, in terms of ride, handling and high speed stability.

With the same tyres on 18" or 19" wheels I think the difference in ride is going to be so marginal that it isn't worth worrying about. Unless there was a very noticeable difference I wouldn't swap the stunning looks of the CSL's on the Z4M. They should have had them fitted as standard.
