How many Z4M coupes are left

I have just had this back from BMW UK

There were 584 E86 Z4 M Coupe’s sold in the UK, 118 of those are the same Black Sapphire colour as yours.

This site tells you how many Z4Ms are registered in the UK :)

https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/bmw_z4_m

Coupes will be roughly half of them. So 300-400 ish currently on the road and a another 150 ish sat in storage. Which lines up with what BMW told you.

The thing with how many left, as far as I can tell, and I may be wrong…
It also considered the non M coupe which doesn’t then give a true figure

Those numbers are for all Z4M, and do not include any non-M Z4 Coupes - unless they've been described wrongly when registered with DVLA!

Disappointing to see so many of them sat in storage and treated as assets rather than being enjoyed as fantastic cars. The thing is, if 260 of them are hidden away waiting for values to soar, it's going to be a very long time before they become scarce enough for the values to soar.

Indeed you are wrong, that page is Z4M's only. There are about the same number of MC's and MR's in the UK, so you can simply half those figures and your will get the figure you asked for. :)

Also doesn’t differentiate between coupe or roadster.. again… I may be wrong

Correct, so you need to half the figure shown for any given period.

I don't think there is any way of getting a definitive number.

This database suggests the UK got 1,206 Ms made up of 592 Coupes and 614 Roadsters:- http://perso.numericable.fr/tonyz4c/
So very close to the number BMW gave you.

And this thread details some that forum members know have been listed on the Cat database so some that probably aren't still around:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=25227&hilit=flimper&start=195

Best guess is obviously less than 600!

Mine is one of the ‘missing’ coupes having been exported to Australia a couple of years ago. Only 100 ///Ms were sold here, so mine is now even more special!
