This is one of the best 50's videos to see if you were in this generation. (If you weren't, eat your heart out. it was the
best of times.)

Ok This reminds me that I'm older than dirt. This was my ride back in the early 60s For those who don't know, it's a 50 Olds club coupe, very valuable now and then. The plate says it all. :)

After I sold the Olds it wasn't long after, that I bought my first British roadster. This is a 1959 TR-3 One drive through the twisties sold me on this one. It was 1962. This is the main reason I'm driving a Z4 today. Once it gets in your blood, there's no turning back. God I loved that car.

Yup - been there and did that. My first "sports car" was a '55 Thunderbird that I drove in the mid 60's but it was mostly set up for drag racing. I didn't get hooked on true sports cars until my father bought a 1968 TR-4.

Great cars, had two TR-4s a 62 and I bought a new one in 1965, red with wire wheels. I soon began carrying a trunk load of Lucas electrical parts. That was back when cars were actually fairly easy to work on, especially the Triumphs.

I had a 56 Corvette, a MG-TD, and a Midget. These cars remind me of my Zed but in those days I actually had hair that the wind blew through. :(

Thanks guys. With all the young 18 year old airmen coming in fresh out of boot camp I was beginning to feel old. Now I feel young again :poke: :poke: :poke: :poke:
