how many posts to send/receive pms?

As far as I can remember the restriction is only to send PMs and it is three posts.

The restriction was introduced because we had spammers sending PMs rather than posting on the forum.

As a reminder, because we've had quite a few newbies with roof problems asking for PMs, the restriction is only three posts. By the time you've introduced yourself and added a few replies, the PM function will be enabled.

Once you get to 20,000 posts the PM and posting facility should be restricted.
PVR is a classic example of having said anything useful in the first 10,000 and then just spouting drivell for the last 10,000... :evil:
