How long before they come down?-

Hopefully not for a long time! :poke:

My "predicted" resale value 1 year from now is actually in that range, but I'm hoping it will be worth more.

Depends on the model and mileage?

Early, entry level 23i will probably be worth that once it hits 5 years old+

Look at the depreciation on an E85 and compare

You might find some smaller engined/basic spec models available with higher miles for 15-16K in three to four years I'd think. I remember getting my e85 30i at year 4 for £16K AUC, not bad. If you want the better specced models/larger engines though, that might take a tad longer. Its taken 8 years for the e85 to get to the 8-10K mark (for a reasonable one).

:driving: Good luck with the search, always go AUC BMW IMHO. That warranty is invaluable. :driving:

Last time I looked the bottom of the market was at about £22k.
Think you'll be very lucky to see that drop to <£15k in less than 18 months.
As Maniac suggests the first of course will be high miler, low spec. and probably a bit tatty.

I reckon 2 years to see a nice example that you'd want to own at that price.

I remember thinking the same when I bought my shiny new Zed. Fat chance. :(

AUC with similar spec. are around £28k. I don't think the depreciation is too bad for new car buyers.
