Get the 300bhp number from the 265bhp 3.0?
Keeping it N/A aswell and what would it be at the wheels?
When i get my 3.0 i would like a nice round number i have owned a couple of 200bhp + so would like the 3 figure next.

Probably not the greatest suggestion or what you really wanted to hear but the most straight forward way to 300+ bhp in a Z4 is to buy the one that BMW already made ...

An M is more expensive to buy than a 3.0si, but by the time youve spent X amount on mods to get the extra horses, not forgetting the extra on insurance too, it would have just been easier to buy an M

Or, buy an Alpina - very exclusive, only 167 RHD made IIRC, lower tax band, 300bhp and 2alpsade's is for sale now, apparently acknowledged on the alpina register as one of the best looked after cars out there

(Ade will hopefully thank me later :D )

Worth saying, I think that to get 300bhp out of a 3.0si you would need to supercharge it, so not NA anymore... By which time you'll have spent ///M money and be 38 horses short.

Ok no worries, hmmm food for thought!

I do like the idea of the alpinas and ltd numbers, only thing is though i would put too many miles on it and spoil a future classic

cheaper than supercharging a 3.0 as others have said, 20% gains on a n/a engine are hard to come by.

I remembe a bloke with a 130i who just managed it ill try and get back in touch with him see what he carried out and cost. Cheers guys/gals

i hate to say it.....and no offence to anyone with an alpina...they are like the ///M's slightly tubbier and less attractive sister (but u still would) but im not convinced any of the z4's are gonna be future classics..
i hope im wrong but its quite, no very rare i am
so i wouldnt not buy an alpina purely out of fear of ruining its classic potential :driving:
