How easy is it to remove door mirror glass?

Hi all, after reading numerous posts on here about the glass falling out of the door mirror housings, how easy/hard are they to remove to fix them properly before they fall out(obviously i dont want to crack them taking them out  )-thanks

If it ain't broke dont fix it - had my Zed from new for 7 years and no problems. Always careful when washing and hozing down afterwards that as little water as possible gets into the housing behind the glass. Pressure hozing can force the water in and eventually attack the glue bonding the glass to the backing plate.

Here you go andysat. Wrote this up the other day so should help you.

It's a bitch to take out and won't help stop glass falling out as glass is glued to pad- it's only glass that falls off

I hear what you are saying AlanJ, i thought i could maybe put dental floss/similar round the back of the glass and gently tease it off to affix it back properly.

just keep an eye on them... if they start to wobble...

open window and keep your hand on them until you can stop :D

seriously stop worrying and drive :driving:

£10 for a replacement from ebay if the worst happens...

Wish i could drive it gannet mate-cracked manifold and leaking vacuum pump(v expensive job, glad warranty/dealer coughing up)-just seems to be one thing after another at the mo
