How do you wash/detail your car?

For those of you who live in a flat without facilities or space for washing your car, how do you wash your car? Do you get it valeted?
Living in the UK made me realise that I took my life back home in Australia for granted, where you can easily wash your car on your driveway in most houses. :(

Don't you have a carwash with boxes where you can wash it yourself nearby? Just take your own gear, bucket, shampoo, wash mitt etc with you. Use the pressure washer to rinse the car and fill up the bucket and the rest of your own gear to clean it :)

If we have them in the UK I've never found one.

I have enquired and heard that there is one nearby, but haven't been able to confirm as yet.

Uh oh lol, those boxes with a pressure washer where you thrown in a few coins and can pressure wash your car? They usually have a seperate brush too, but you don't want to use that one ;) They are quite common here, I actually have a few near me. Nearest town has a big one, with several of those boxes inside a building, costs you 4 Euro to get in and you can wash as long as you want.

Yep. I would never use the brushes unless I wish to intentionally ruin my paintwork. Just the pressure washer.
One thing I find tricky washing the car at these places is getting enough water into the buckets as HP washers don't use a lot of water so it takes ages to try and fill half a bucket.
