How do you remove the exhaust tail pipes?

Ive located the screws underneath that look like a type of grub screw with an internal thread but how do you remove them?

No, the recess of the screw where you would normally insert an allen key or whatever is threaded like a tapped hole.

Perhaps they were just pushed on because they are a tight fit.
I fitted some to mine a couple of weeks ago and they were tightened with a philips screw.
I tightened them as far as possible and the screw heads are still proud of the pipes.

I removed my twin chrome pipes using a t25 bit (star) and then they just pull off... SIMPLES!

I just removed mine yesterday. The ones on the 3.0si coupe are simply held on by tension clips so its just a case of twisting and pulling to work them free. They then just slot back on in the same manner.

Makes them very easy to clean!

On mine, they definately dont have a screw or anything to take out.

I will have to have a go at that, sounds like that could be it. Although you have a later model than me so they could have changed it.
