Hood motor replacement near Cambridge?

It looks like my hood motor's giving up the ghost :( I pressed the button, it opened about half an inch at the front, then stalled. I'd love to do a boot relocation, but I haven't really got the time or agility for crawling around in the boot, so it looks like I'll have to solve the problem with money.

Does anyone know of somebody accessible from the Cambridge area who does motor replacements? Or a good indy that won't charge the earth?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

If you absolutely have to go down the money route, bear in mind that there's a good chance your motor still has life in it. It probably just needs drying out. Mine was soaked and dead. A good dry out in the oven and it's now working again.

Salvaging your motor should immediately save you £350+ from the get-go.

(But sorry, I don't know any garages in Cambridge, to answer your question  )
