Should anyone fancy a change, my friend is selling his rather lovely Honda S2000 with hardtop.

Do they really go for that much. :o Looked at a nice example from a mate around a year ago. That was half that money. Mind you it sold the next day.

I was surprised when I saw the price - they seem to have been climbing in value lately!

But as a member of this forum who is obviously biased if I had that budget for a Roadster it would have to be a Z4 MR! :)

If I really wanted an S2000 I'd be looking for a pre-06 reg to avoid the £500+ a year road tax.

Yes they’ve gone up in value in the last few years ... but they are still worth that sort of money all day long . Such a good car to drive . Beautifully balanced , just enough power to have fun with and a red line at 9k ! I’ll be keeping mine for a long time

Actually I may be selling mine ! And the z4m coupe ... to fund a Porsche :o

Never been a tree ive wanted to shake so not surprisingly that figure looks like a typo to me :P
what does stand out ( il admit to being somewhat germanic in my car wants ) if you compare the pics of the 07 S2000 with a 07 ZMR its hard not to notice how well the Zs are ageing  they look 10 years apart to me

My mate has one of these. We had a great drive up through Wales on the weekend and I can confirm a well driven one has excellent cross country pace. Not a match for a z4m but bang for buck they're right up there.

The Honda is a 90s car though technically

I had a little "entertainment" with an S2000 a couple of months ago, and was surprised it was neck and neck with my 3.0Si, - but I doubt it would see which way a Z4M went!

But they definitely went up in my estimation based on that.

Still it was good to end our "fun" at the 3rd set of lights with a "thumbs-up" and a smile rather than road-rage!

Always liked the S2K and thought about trying one out.

I've got an alert set up on my Autotrader app for a 2004 / 2005 (facelift / low tax) model and surprised that when they do come up for sale they are almost as expensive as a similar mileage Z4MR.

Yes they are not as fast as a z4m but as for driver involvement / enjoyment they are up there and dare a say it even better . Also the fact they cost 1/3rd to run /maintain is a factor . Just take a look at the suspension, double wish bones front and rear , even Has remote reservoirs for the rear dampers !
