Hole in Valve Cover Help!!

Hi everyone last night I thought would be a good time to get spark plugs changed since the car was feeling sluggish and when doing so I noticed there was a massive hole in the port where the ignition coil goes on cylinder 5, I uploaded photos but I have no clue how this could’ve happened or if this is affecting performance. The car feels fine driving and power feels nice but I still do have the searching rpm on startup after replacing the vanos solenoids and spark plugs. Preferably id like to get the cover swapped but I don’t know what a good option is minus the 800 bmw option and id prefer to find something a little cheaper since the power is still fine. Any help or advice is much needed.
Edit- This is a 2006 3.0i with 53k miles

As long as the spark plug hole isn’t being filled up with oil then just leave it alone, it’ll be fine.

Yep no oil in the spark plug but my number 4 cylinder did have a little pool, which I found odd because the owner before me said he did the gasket before I purchased
