I am new to the forum and Z4 and even BMW

My z4 coupe is 3 ltr in bright red with only 43k on the clock

Came here to read about the notch 1st to 2nd gear issue :-/ sooooo lost :-/

When I work out how to get pictures up I will share

Hi Danny, get yourself a zhp or other weighted gear nob to improve the shift action-it's still notchy but not so pronounced. (They look better as well)

You could also consider removing the Clutch Delay Valve (CDV), it noticeably improves / smooths the 1-2 change. Plenty of info available if you do a search

Hi,

Just to echo what others have said RE ZHP/Stormworks gear knob and CDV removal, and to add to that change the gearbox oil (Redline, Royal purple or OEM) - All subtle improvements, but they do add up.
